Welcome to the City of Marion

The City of Marion, Kentucky is the county seat of Crittenden County. Located south of the Ohio River and north east of Land Between the Lakes National Wildlife Area.

Marion offers its 3000 residents a small town lifestyle with the amenities of a city!

The 40 acre City County Park provides outdoor recreation for all ages. The Crittenden County School system, located in Marion, offers an award winning education and a full range of sporting activities that includes, football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, golf, track and field, and much more.

Diners can choose from Western Kentucky barbeque, fried catfish, authentic Italian and Mexican, home-style plate lunches, steaks, seafood and much more.

Marion offers all the shopping opportunities required for day to day living.  Two full service grocery stores, drug stores, floral, sporting goods, hardware and clothing. Seasonal fresh produce is available at the nearby Amish community or at the Market on Main.

The Crittenden County Economic Development Industrial Park includes major manufacturing such as Siemens, Par 4 Plastics and Tyler Manufacturing.  The Marion Airport has a 4000’ runway to accommodate most small to medium size aircraft that brings business and leisure travelers to the area.

The Crittenden County Hospital, located in Marion, offers full service medical services to the residents of Marion, Crittenden County and the surrounding region.

The Community Arts Foundation hosts several annual events including murder mystery plays, Christmas programs and arts and crafts shows.

Marion is known for its friendly southern hospitality and small town charm.
